Our mission is simple.
To bring fairness back to the pool deck, without turning hospitality into enforcement.
PLOX was created for a familiar moment in hotels, resorts and cruises: guests searching for a lounger, while rows of beds are covered with towels and no one knows what is actually available.
We believe the solution should feel effortless. A simple wristband check-in makes lounger use visible, understandable and fair, while keeping the experience relaxed for guests and manageable for staff.
From towel chaos to poolside clarity
What looked like a small poolside habit kept creating the same guest frustration again and again.
Meet the founders.
PLOX began on holiday. Not on one particular holiday, but almost every single holiday.
Whether we were staying at a luxury hotel, a rented apartment or on a cruise. Whether it was peak season or a long weekend. Whether we travelled as a couple or with the children. The same story, every time, at the pool. A full pool deck of loungers, every one of them claimed with a towel, while many of those loungers stayed unused for many hours. We would stand there, with wet kids and warm sun, looking for a place to sit.
We spoke about it with other guests during the years, with hotel managers, with colleagues, friends, family. Everyone recognised it instantly. Everyone had been there. And yet no one had solved it.
Signs were ignored. House rules were tested. Staff hesitated to move towels, because no one could tell which towel had been there for ten minutes and which for four hours.
That is why we built PLOX. An automatic system that makes visible which loungers are actually in use, and which have not been used for some time. For the guest looking for a free seat. For the staff who no longer have to guess. And for the hotel that can finally enforce its own house rules, objectively.
We kept seeing the same poolside frustration everywhere.
Guests and hospitality teams immediately understood the issue.
We created a clearer and fairer way to manage availability.
We are launching in 2026 with a small group of European hotels, resorts and pool clubs.
We hope yours is one of them.
