PLOX is at the beginning of an exciting growth phase. We are therefore looking for a Product Engineer / Designer who wants to help us build the next generation of our hardware.

In this role, you will be closely involved in the technical and visual development of our products, from concept and design to prototypes and production-ready specifications.

What will you do?

  • You design products, enclosures and mounting solutions in 3D, for example in SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or comparable software.
  • You develop concepts into production-ready drawings and technical specifications.
  • You advise on material selection, finishing and production methods, with a focus on durability, cost price, weather resistance and outdoor use.
  • You assess whether materials are suitable for use in hotels, resorts, swimming pools and other hospitality environments.
  • You communicate with manufacturers and suppliers in the Netherlands and internationally.
  • You supervise prototype development, from 3D printing to small-scale production runs.
  • You test prototypes for functionality, quality, mounting, appearance and ease of use.
  • You actively contribute ideas for product improvements and innovation.

Who are we looking for?

  • You have completed a university of applied sciences or university degree, for example in Industrial Product Design, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable field.
  • You have demonstrable experience with 3D CAD software and production drawings.
  • You have knowledge of materials and production processes, such as plastics, metalworking and 3D printing.
  • You do not need to be a materials specialist, but you are able to critically assess material choices and ask suppliers the right technical questions.
  • You work accurately, independently and with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • You have a good command of Dutch and English.
  • Proficiency in an additional language, such as Spanish, French, Italian or Greek, is a plus.

What do we offer?

  • Salary: €4,200 to €5,400 gross per month based on a 40-hour working week, depending on knowledge and experience.
  • 32 to 40 hours per week.
  • Work location to be agreed, with flexibility in working hours and workplace.
  • Unlimited vacation days, in consultation and with responsibility for planning and continuity.
  • 8% holiday allowance.
  • Room for your own ideas and direct influence on product development and strategy.
  • The opportunity to help build an innovative product for the international hospitality market.
